Hey, you're listening to Episode zero of the guy's guide to Christian Living Podcast. I am Cullen Wainwright. And starting with the first real episode of this show, I'll be joined by my co host, associate college pastor at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas, Trevor Gentry. Trevor is a good friend of mine, and I've known him for several years now. We were actually roommates when I was a student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I know that we're gonna have a great time with this podcast that we're gonna learn a lot of new things. But before any of that even gets started, I would just like to give a brief description of what this podcast is gonna be about, and then tease a couple episodes that way. So what is this podcast going to be about? Well, like the name would suggest we're gonna be covering issues and topics that relate to Christian men in the 21st century, right, in America, and also the world. And also we'll be talking about things like, how does God call Christian men to live in this world? And what can we learn from the Bible about these things. And, how can we let what we learn affect our lives affect the decisions we make every day, affect how we treat each other, effect how we treat ourselves, right, and affect how we treat the planet that we're on because all these things are very important. And we actually have over 70 podcast topics already listed out that are gonna cover these these issues and a lot more. So, we have specific ones that relate to men specifically like, what is biblical manhood? And, how is it similar or different to how America in 2020 perceives manhood? Biblical fatherhood, right? We have topics like, what should a guy look for in a potential wife, or even reverse, what might a woman be looking for in a potential husband? And we're also going to branch out and have some more broad topics like common biblical misunderstandings, things like that. What's another one? What is sin? Sin defined. That's when I just saw that on my little list. Um, church is not just a building. What is heaven? What is hell? So we have a wide range of different topics. Like I mentioned earlier, I think this is gonna be a lot of fun. I think we're gonna learn a lot of new things, and I can't wait to get right into it. So without further ado, let's do this.
